Overview Dental Associates of Hollywood is hiring a full‑time experienced Dental Assistant. Applicants must be friendly, highly organized, possess excellent communication skills and a genuine ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Candidates must be x‑ray certified in FL. We request that all applicants also possess the willingness to learn, be compassionate and comfortable chair side, and have the ability to perform the following tasks:

Knowledgeable on procedures

Familiar with products and materials used

Attention to detail

Excellent Documentation

Taking impressions

Making temporaries

Administering fluoride

Disinfecting rooms and equipment

The hours for this position will be Mon‑Fri 9:00‑5:00.

Position Overview As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities

Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.

Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.

Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X‑rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).

Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

Completion of a one‑year certified dental assistant program

Six months on‑the‑job experience (with supporting documentation)

X‑ray certification

Nitrous oxide certification is highly recommended

High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
