JOB SUMMARY The Medical Assistant at Village Health Partners (now a part of Catalyst Physician Group), will help our communities thrive by supporting clinical operations and assisting providers in delivering high-quality healthcare. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedules

Review presenting issue, visit history, orders, and update EMR appropriately

Assist Physician or Advanced Practitioner with examinations or procedures

Obtain vital signs and prep patient for visit

Fluent in medical terminology & medication refill protocols

Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and updating patient records

Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment

Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, clinic environment

Appropriately escalated issues outside of existing protocols to meet patient needs

Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Adhere to infection control policies, procedures, and safety standards

Work well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)

Experience with medical EMR systems

Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA rules and regulations

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in a Primary Care office setting

BLS with hands on training
