Pathologist - General Surgical Pathology (BC/BE) Hospital-Based Private Pathology Practice
We are seeking a
Board-Certified General Surgical Pathologist
to join a highly respected, hospital-based private pathology practice serving the
Memphis metropolitan area . The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills across a broad range of surgical pathology specimens and a commitment to outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
Sign out a wide spectrum of
general surgical pathology
specimens including:
GI, GU, Prostate, Liver, breast, skin, gynecologic, and urologic
cases and many more.
Participate in
intraoperative consultations (frozen sections)
Review
cytology specimens
as appropriate (experience preferred but not required)
Collaborate closely with
surgeons, oncologists, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
Ensure compliance with
CAP, CLIA, and institutional quality standards
Participate in
tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences
as assigned
Contribute to
quality improvement initiatives
and laboratory projects
Qualifications
MD or DO
from an accredited medical school
Completion of an
ACGME-accredited Pathology residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible
in
Anatomic Pathology (AP)
or
AP/CP
Strong experience and/or interest in
general surgical pathology
Fellowship training welcomed but not required
Eligible for
Tennessee medical licensure
