– Tucson, AZ. Job Location: 1455 South Alvernon Way, Tucson, Arizona 85711. Grade: 19. Salary: $58,510.18 - $65,900.02.

Job Summary DES seeks a highly motivated individual to serve as a Case Manager Unit Supervisor, leading a team that provides developmental disability services and supports. The role involves overseeing staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and facilitating collaboration with community partners.

Job Duties

Supervise and direct work activities of subordinate staff; provide training and technical advice on Individual Support Plans (ISP) and monitor staff performance.

Review cases, assess needs, assign cases to staff, and ensure plans are completed on time and meet quality standards.

Attend and facilitate staff meetings, supervisory meetings, district and statewide workgroups, and meetings with community partners.

Meet with staff to identify necessary changes and modifications to Individual Support Plans.

Verify and authorize expenditures within budgetary constraints; prepare reports relating to assigned cases; complete special projects and training as assigned.

Knowledge

Understanding of case‑management principles, development of Individual or Family Support Plans, and crisis management.

Knowledge of federal and state statutes, agency policies, and procedures relating to care of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Knowledge of HIPAA and related privacy regulations.

Skills

Team building and leadership.

Problem identification and resolution.

Assess needs, determine suitability of support plans, and supervise a unit of professional staff.

Pre‑Employment Requirements

Arizona Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Work with at least 3 years case‑management experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or Counseling with at least 3 years case‑management experience and 3 years management experience.

Successful background and reference check; employment contingent on process completion and accommodation of restrictions.

Valid Level One fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41‑2758.07.

Search of the Department of Child Safety Central Registry (A.R.S. 8‑804) and the Adult Protective Services Registry (A.R.S. 46‑459).

If driving is essential, possession of a valid driver's license.

Completion of E‑Verify (Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program).
