Public/Community Health Nurse – Maternity Clinic Services
Location: Fayetteville, NC
Contract Type: 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Start Date: February 2
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and committed Public/Community Health Nurse (PHN) to oversee the daily operations of Maternity Clinic Services. This advanced professional nursing role is essential in promoting maternal and community health through direct care, education, and coordination with healthcare partners.
The PHN will manage a team of nurses, implement the annual Maternal Health Contract Addenda, and coordinate prenatal and delivery services with local OB‑GYN clinics and medical centers. The role also involves collaboration with the Pregnancy Home Management Program to ensure comprehensive care for expectant mothers.
This position requires independent practice, sound clinical judgment, and a strong commitment to public health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily clinic operations
Supervise and support nursing staff
Coordinate prenatal and delivery services with partner institutions
Implement and monitor Maternal Health Contract Addenda
Assist with budgeting and resource planning
Develop and evaluate individualized prenatal care plans
Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and regulatory agencies
Minimum Qualifications
Active RN license in North Carolina
At least 2 years of public health or community nursing experience preferred
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as required)
Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
