FULLY ONSITE PATIENT ACCESS SUPERVISOR (EMERGENCY DEPT)

Third Shift Emergency Department Supervisor
TEKsystems is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor with 2‑3 years of supervisory experience within an Emergency Department for the third shift (7 pm‑3 am, 11 pm‑7 am, or 12 am‑8 am).

Responsibilities
Manage 4 direct reports in an Emergency Department with 34 beds.
Serve 15–20 patients per night and provide daily support, mentoring, and training for new hires and existing staff.
Assist with short‑ and long‑range planning for all Registration Process areas including Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, and the Emergency Department.
Maintain positive customer service, resolving issues and managing escalated situations as needed.
Prepare shift reports at night for the morning shift and produce monthly performance and metric reports such as financial clearance reports.
Enforce departmental policies, procedures, and work rules in accordance with hospital and corporate guidelines, and help develop and implement new policies.
Coordinate and perform all Patient Access functions as required.
Collaborate with the management team to meet operational goals.
Serve on a rotating on‑call schedule every five weekends (occurring a few times per year).
Supervisory Responsibilities
Interview, hire, and train employees.
Plan, assign, and direct work.
Appraise performance and implement reward and discipline systems.
Address complaints and resolve workplace problems.
Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years experience as a Patient Access Supervisor in an Emergency Department.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of hospital workflows and registration processes.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Pay and Benefits Salary range: $46,925.00 – $70,408.00 per year.
