Why you'll love this job This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for reviewing home equity loan requests and assisting American Airlines Credit Union members with closing their loan.
What you'll do
Handle file set‑up for home equity loans including providing appropriate disclosures to members, speaking with members about their loan terms, and reviewing the loan for closing
Perform daily review on the Home Equity pipeline
Process closing documentation for home equity loans
Process property condition reports for Home Equity Loans
Process verification of employment for Home Equity Loan applicants
Perform booking of home equity loans
Input home equity loan data into daily Excel spreadsheets
Perform other duties as assigned
Ensure the security and confidentiality of all account information, and comply with applicable laws and regulations (eg, the Bank Secrecy Act)
All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
High school diploma or GED with 2 years of related experience, preferably in a credit union environment
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
Experience in mortgage lending
Previous customer service experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Skilled in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Loan Link and Episys System
Excellent member and customer service skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, professional telephone manners
Basic math calculation and data analysis ability
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and function as part of a team in a diverse setting
Professional interaction with all employees and members
Quick learner, adaptable to change
Self‑motivated with strong organization and attention to detail
Effective prioritization skills and met deadlines
Spanish language proficiency a plus
Maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
Pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre‑hire compliance checks
