Scope of Position The Environmental Services Department provides quality cleaning services for patients, staff and visitors of The Ohio State University Health System. The storekeeper 2 is responsible for ensuring that the department has the supplies necessary to perform daily functions.
Position Summary The storekeeper 2 plans, orders, organizes, schedules and performs storeroom work in the receipt, storage and distribution of supplies, chemicals and equipment for the Environmental Services Department.
Minimum Education Required Per Classified Civil Service Specs or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and to read and write simple sentences, plus:
1 course in management/supervision (or 1 month experience);
1 course in record keeping (or 1 month experience);
1 course in bookkeeping (or 1 month experience);
3 courses in inventory control (or 3 months experience);
or equivalent.
