Newly created Controller opportunity with well established company of over 50 years reporting to the CFO/President. Experience working with Transportation, municipal infrastructure clients highly preferred.
The Controller will manage the financial operations for construction projects, oversee job costing, and ensure financial compliance. Work closely with the leadership team to provide financial guidance and ensure our projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Key duties include financial management and reporting, managing billing and cash flow, providing financial support for bidding and estimating, and working closely with project managers to align financials with project schedules and milestones. Maintain a detailed understanding of project contract terms and ensure accurate billing and invoicing, as well as internal controls and compliance.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience
in construction finance or accounting, particularly in
public works
in New Jersey with understanding of NJ DOT projects and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage complex financial data.
Experience in managing financials for
government contracts
or
municipal projects .
