The Customer Support (CS) organization is responsible for the installations, qualification, repair and maintenance of the ASML systems at customer sites and for the necessary transfer of know‑how to the customer. Local site Customer Support branches perform these tasks for the customer within a specific region.
Role and Responsibilities As a CS Technician, you will assemble, repair and execute periodic maintenance at our customer site based on a pre‑existing action plan. If needed, you will execute basic troubleshooting following a predefined plan (e.g., reset/power cycles) before escalating to the next level of support.
Responsibilities
Works from instructions and handles exceptions within these instructions, making careful choices from learned options in comparable situations.
Performs all standard assembly work, repairs and preventative maintenance, conveying the importance of quality to team members and possessing a broader knowledge base with increased technical depth.
Conducts more complicated repairs under disturbance during recovery, ensuring compliance with Recovery Team KPI and quality control.
Provides support and assistance to less experienced ASML colleagues or local personnel, engages in process changes, and identifies necessary changes to maintain compliance.
Checks with senior technician or manager on prioritization and planning.
Works under limited supervision, monitoring progress and results of followed procedures.
Participates in existing feedback loop processes and identifies learning opportunities.
Contributes to existing continuous improvement activities.
Hands over problem aspects to others (1st Line FSEs), documents and packages all data relevant for resolution, and ensures accurate reflection in documentation.
Provides written or verbal updates to customer on progress, actions taken, and next steps, acting as an ASML ambassador at all times.
Education and Experience
HS Diploma or GED required.
Associate’s degree in mechanical, electronic, mechatronics or related technical field, or applicable certification preferred.
Three or more years of equivalent technical or technician experience in military, aviation, automotive, electrical, machining, or similar environments; degree may be substituted.
Knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools.
Hands‑on experience with mechanical and/or electrical parts using precision tools preferred.
Experience in the semiconductor industry a plus.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
May require travel dependent on business needs.

Role within the Fab
Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves throughout the shift.
While performing duties, routinely sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
May occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The environment generally moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.
Physical Demand of the job
Shift: compressed work week schedule (12 hr shifts, 7 am–7 pm).
Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
Routinely required to sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
