General Maintenance Mechanic
LB&B Associates Inc is currently seeking a General Maintenance Mechanic to perform operations and mechanical maintenance at the Highgate Springs, VT Federal Building.
Hourly pay rate: $32.00 per hour. Full-time union position offers vacation, sick leave, paid holidays and pension plan according to the collective bargaining agreement. Working schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm, on call after hours.
Responsibilities
Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
Painting floors, steps, and sidewalks.
Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles.
Hanging doors and installing locks.
Replacing broken window panes and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Experience in commercial HVAC repair and maintenance of mechanical building systems including PM's, routine service calls and overall facility maintenance highly desired.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years experience performing general maintenance and repair of equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
High School Diploma/GED required.
Must be willing to obtain Underground Storage Tank Certificate.
