The
Maintenance Supervisor
provides leadership and direction to the maintenance department. The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates the installation, repair, and maintenance of facilities and machinery, and directs and organizes all tasks related to maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Assure long‑term capability and expedient repair of all building equipment, tooling, and machinery.
Develop and implement a Preventative Maintenance program for all production equipment, molds, and support equipment; document completion and provide written reports to management.
Perform mold repairs as necessary.
Immediately respond to and correct all equipment problems that adversely affect quality, scheduling, or cost.
Develop and maintain a list of perishable tooling required for all production and support equipment.
Track perishable tooling inventory and initiate ordering of additional material when appropriate.
Continuous improvement with regard to safety, production, quality, and scheduling.
Assist in the installation of production and support equipment.
Consistently follow IATF quality and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental standards.
Adhere to all company policies including health and safety, quality and environmental systems, human resources policies, and the Employee Handbook.
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and legislation, including Environmental Legislation for industrial establishments and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Understand and comply with all state and provincial laws related to harassment and violence in the workplace.
Manage MRO and scheduling preventive maintenance for the maintenance technicians.
Assist the Engineering Manager with tasks and fill in when the Engineering Manager is out of the office.
Required Qualifications/Skills
College diploma, trades school diploma or university degree in a related skilled trade.
Certified welder.
5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance and tool repair.
Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
Knowledge of computer software for Windows.
Knowledge of computer-aided drafting software AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Critical thinker with attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
5–7 years in a similar role.
Advanced writing, oral communication, and technical presentation skills.
Physical Requirements
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
The ability to bend, stoop or reach with arms, climb, or balance; kneel and crouch.
The ability to wear required PPE.
Constant standing and repetitive arm/wrist movements with occasional bending.
Constant communication with employees, peers, and management.
Possible use of computer and dispatch radio.
Overtime as required.
