$68,745.00 PER YEAR - Bonus Eligible GENERAL PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to keep Harmons Floral departments above the competition by training new Floral Managers and associates on Harmons’ standards and operations. This person will set the example, supporting, and implementing the vision of the Floral team. This person will also analyze data and reports, identifying opportunities for improvement. They will build strong relationships with store associates, customers, and vendors, while providing exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaches, mentors, and educates Floral associates to help them be successful members of the team
Follows established company policies and procedures
Plans displays and merchandising based on research, sales trends, and customer feedback
Supports the marketing and promotion of products at various locations
Ensures that products are located in the correct place at the right time of year
Assists the Distribution Center Director in providing tools to ensure the quality, freshness, product assortment, and inventory levels of all Floral products and services in the department
Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to consistency between stores
Analyzes Domo and identifies opportunities for improvement
Communicates and follows up on sales and merchandising plans
Builds and maintains relationships with store associates, Store Directors, and outside vendors
Assists with departmental space management; new items, new sets, merchandising, etc.
Assists in planning and ordering for holiday sales and seasonal items and sets
Assists with developing new items, remaining up to date with industry’s best practices
Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
Sets a professional and positive example to others
Communicates openly and frequently with the Distribution Center Director
Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
Ensures that the stores have the items that they need for resets, remodels, and new store openings
Promptly shares associates’ and customers’ concerns and/or grievances with the appropriate person
Takes initiative to lead Floral Managers in what needs to be done in each store during visits and then communicates actions to Distribution Center Director and Store Director
MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other job-related duties as assigned .

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
A high school diploma or GED required; some college education are preferred; five years of Floral or related retail merchandising experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must have an expert knowledge of and enjoy working with and handling floral products
Must have exceptional leadership and communication skills
Excellent organization and planning skills
Must be creative and have a good instinct of what is visually pleasing
Ability to conceptualize and envision products and programs for the future
Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency, and maintain focus
A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, email, and the internet
Ability to utilize computer systems and standard office equipment
Must have the ability to advocate, analyze, and understand technology to be effective personally and have an impact on business performance
Ability to interpret policies and procedures
Excellent organization and planning skills
Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with and manage diverse groups of people
Ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict
Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team
Required to make decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques
Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission and commitment to working collaboratively

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand, and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. Also requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire workday and the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds from location to location.
