Job Description Atlantic Plywood is looking for a full‑time Manufacturing Associate to join our team!
The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for operating panel lamination equipment and conducting related warehouse activities. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter and a team player who can pick and sort materials by hand and with a forklift, package materials for shipment, and participate in daily equipment maintenance and care procedures. The objective of the laminating department is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Other Duties
Pick, count, and sort raw materials for manufacturing
Maintain quality control
Maintain and clean automated press machinery
Maintain a clean and safe working environment to increase efficiency
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
Operate and clean manufacturing equipment
Follow quality standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Job Requirements
Authorization to work in the U.S.
High school diploma / GED
Previous sit‑down forklift experience
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs.
Good understanding of safety procedures and use of personal protection equipment (PPE)
Good organizational and time‑management skills
Must be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team
Must be able to start early, work late occasionally as needed
Must have a pre‑employment physical, drug test, and background check upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in handling plastic laminate
Automated press machine operation experience
Quality control / inventory experience
Voice‑headset experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading, unloading, and securing loads
Frequent use of foot/feet
Frequent lifting of 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.
Frequent pushing and pulling of truck side‑curtain walls
Frequent use of winch & ratchet strap tie‑downs for load securement
Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes
