Description Mechanical Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in design and detail engineering of Static & Rotary equipment such as pressure vessels, S&T heat exchangers, columns, storage tanks, air‑cooled heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, etc. in compliance with international codes, project specifications, and general specifications prevalent in the oil & gas, fertilizer, chemicals, and related industries. Strong working knowledge of design codes including ASME Sec. VIII – Div. 1, TEMA, etc.
Responsibilities
Lead execution of process oil & gas projects for the above‑mentioned technologies.
Review customer technical requirements and specifications and incorporate them into project designs.
Review technical specifications & datasheets and conduct bid tab reviews & vendor document reviews.
Lead the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting mechanical designs according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
Lead mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs and requirements set by project managers.
Review vendor drawings and documentation, regularly meeting, corresponding, and coordinating with equipment vendors.
Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and manage internal flow of data and design changes effectively.
Work directly with customers, interface with the commercial sales team, and provide oversight and direction to project team members.
Travel to the field for as‑built data collection, site information gathering, and support field work activities.
Prepare and review mechanical engineering discipline deliverables.
Quality review and validation of final deliverables before submission to clients.
Review piping isometrics to ensure constructibility and compliance with project specifications.
Maintain compliance with company and site safety policies.
Minimum Proficiencies and Qualifications
B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical is required.
10-15 years of professional experience performing detailed engineering of static equipment such as pressure vessels, S&T heat exchangers, columns, reactors, storage tanks, air‑cooled heat exchangers, etc.
Strong working knowledge of design codes including ASME Section VIII – Div. 1, TEMA, and other API standards. Experience with European codes is beneficial.
Proficiency with design software such as PV Elite, Compress, etc.
Effective communication skills and the ability to lead global team members to closure on technical issues.
EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) experience is preferred.
Compensation: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
