Job Summary
Conduct billing operations and monitor operational / financial workflows to ensure billing compliance for new and existing customers. Ensure that billing and related functional processes are performed in accordance with the university’s accounting policy. Perform system and process audits to ensure that all invoicing procedures are being performed and transmitted accurately. Review monthly audits and present analytical reporting to leadership. Partner with other departments to resolve billing inquiries, providing assistance with information requests. Prepare ad‑hoc analysis, as needed. Responsibilities
Responsible to set up tuition and fee tables in the Student Information System each semester. Works with the web servicing team to update the tuition rate schedules on the Bursar’s Office website each academic year. Testing of tuition calculation before billing students for the new semester. Works with the Curriculum department to verify course/class fee information is accurate in the Student Information System. Works with departments on campus to verify financial information on course/class fees are accurate. Assists internal office staff with questions from students and parents about tuition bills. Answers questions from university departments regarding revenue allocated to them and proper recognition of revenue. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Billing Analyst, II: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience. Preferences
Working knowledge of Excel; Microsoft Word; Outlook email; and Teams. An understanding of the PeopleSoft Student System and using the query application for reporting purposes. Special Instructions
