Job Summary Functions under the direction of the Application Manager, the Epic Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance Analyst provides advanced system‑level support of multi‑user clinical or financial applications, operating systems, hardware, software, and reporting tools, including installation, configuration, training, maintenance, and end user support of complex systems. Requires advanced knowledge of systems analysis. In‑depth knowledge of project management concepts and methodology. Able to lead and participate in project planning sessions. Ability to establish project goals, milestones, and procedures. Able to manage multiple projects with varying levels of complexity. The Epic Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance Analyst works closely with project leaders on all aspects of project planning to meet project deadlines.

In this position, you will promote excellent customer service and strong communication skills to ensure the success of all software applications. Works with outside departments to promote, educate and train on current applications. Works with other members of the Xtensys staff, customer clinical and operational departments and other Xtensys personnel to accomplish the goals established for the project.

Who You Are & What You’ll Bring

Industry Expertise: Apply a comprehensive understanding of Hospital Billing (HB), Revenue Cycle workflows, medical terminology, and payer requirements to drive system accuracy.

System Lifecycle Management: Execute full‑lifecycle system builds, including rigorous testing, validation, and troubleshooting of claim issues during upgrades and implementations.

Technical Configuration: Configure and maintain core HB components, including the charge router, claims, remits, SBO, and patient statements.

Revenue Cycle Optimization: Resolve claim edits, rejections, and denials by designing and configuring strategic claim edit rules to enhance performance.

Collaborative Problem Solving: Synchronize system features with business objectives by partnering with Revenue, Clinical, and IT teams.

Strategic Troubleshooting: Investigate complex system discrepancies to develop and deploy sustainable, long‑term technical solutions.

End‑User Advocacy: Partner with the training team to deliver high‑quality support and technical troubleshooting for staff and clinicians.

Effective Communication: Facilitate professional interactions and clear communication between stakeholders, technical staff, and end‑users.

Community Connect: Prior experience supporting Epic Community Connect partners is highly preferred.

Flexibility: Ability to participate in a scheduled on‑call rotation to ensure continuous system stability and support.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree, preferred

Resolute Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance Administration certification is required

PMP

Travel Requirements

25% (for ‘go‑lives’, pre/post and may require during implementation such as GLRA)

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects. Sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally.
