Job Title: Process Operator
Shift: 3 on 3 off rotating between 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am (They only work 6 months out of the year due to the 12 hour schedule)
Job Description
As a Process Operator, you will oversee all aspects of the fermentation process in the manufacturing of yeast. You will be responsible for the batch making process, managing raw materials, and ensuring precise control over temperature, pH, and flow. You will also perform in-house testing such as pH and ethanol tests using an ethanol meter, and calibrate the meter according to the provided SOP.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the fermentation process in yeast manufacturing.
Conduct batch making and manage raw material feeding.
Test and control temperature, pH, and flow throughout the process.
Perform in-house testing including pH tests and ethanol tests using SOP guidelines.
Operate and manage control room operations.
Perform quality control and manage mixing and chemical processes.
Climb and hook up hoses for production processes.
Check product temperature and clean tanks.
Utilize logic controllers for process management.
Engage in general labor tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in control room operations.
Knowledge of Biology and Chemistry.
Experience in quality control and production processes.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing and hooking up hoses.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates Degree required, preferably in a science discipline.
A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably within a fast-paced, production-driven food environment.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
