Title: Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

Shift: 1st shift, 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday

Salary: $22-$25 per hour, depending on experience

Who we are: Our client is a rapidly expanding, privately held manufacturing company in Solon, OH. Due to significant growth and increasing demand for their products, they are seeking dedicated production staff to join their team as direct hires, contributing to their continued success and commitment to quality.

Shipping/Receiving Coordinator Role: The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator supports the supervisor in managing the daily operations of the shipping and receiving departments. This role provides essential administrative support for proper shipping documentation and coordinates activities for tracking all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Shipping/Receiving Coordinator Responsibilities:

Oversee all outgoing shipping activities (Sales Orders) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of the shipment

Verify the accuracy of all required shipping documents, and confirm pictures of each shipment are taken and downloaded to the correct file

Aid the supervisor in obtaining freight charges and get multiple quotes to ensure the most cost-effective shipping method

Schedule trucks daily to minimize the amount of daily backlog for truck loading

Verify incoming material against the packing slip, purchase order, and part drawing

Enter received material into the ERP system using a computer, tablet, and/or hand scanner

Monitor Sales Orders On Time Delivery and report line items that are short and may cause a late shipment

Establish daily work assignments for the shipping/receiving staff

Perform Inventory Management functions such as conducting daily cycle counts and performing yearly physical inventory

Complete the ITAR license for international shipments and work with government agencies to apply for the shipping license

Shipping/Receiving Coordinator Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor. The coordinator will establish daily work assignments for the shipping/receiving staff and acts as the supervisor when the supervisor is out of the facility.

About You:

Possess a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment's shipping/receiving department

Demonstrate experience shipping product per Military Specifications (WAWF or Wide Area Workflow)

Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with ITAR licensing

Be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Maintain proficiency operating an ERP system (MAS 500 experience is helpful)

Effectively read and interpret engineering drawings and use inspection equipment such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers

Show experience with UPS and FED-EX shipping software

Legally authorized to work in the United States

At times, you may be required to fill in and operate a tow motor for loading and unloading of trucks or help in packing sales orders.
