Assistant Superintendent
Industry: Civil/Construction
Locations: Arkansas & Kentucky (Statewide – must be willing to travel between sites)
Salary: $45ph (Negotiable) + Per diem for travel
About the Role The Assistant Superintendent will support field operations on office and warehouse renovation projects. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage site activities from start to finish.
Role Highlights
Assist with daily site operations, coordination, and oversight
Manage subcontractors to ensure manpower, progress, and quality standards
Conduct daily site walks and maintain a clean, safe job site
Track and generate reports (daily logs, manpower, inspections, deliveries, punch lists)
Attend OAC meetings and communicate progress to Superintendents and PMs
Perform field-level quality checks and coordinate inspections
Lead safety meetings and enforce compliance across all trades
Help drive schedule adherence and identify risks early
Requirements
5–7 years of on-site construction experience in a similar role
Proven track record as Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, or Site Coordinator
Familiarity with ground-up construction, tenant improvements, PEMB, or industrial projects
Proficient in reading construction drawings and understanding MEP systems
Experience with Procore preferred
Strong knowledge of site safety standards and OSHA compliance
Preferred Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience
OSHA 30 & CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain immediately)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership presence with a collaborative attitude
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on prevention
