Leatherman is looking for an experienced

Project Manager

who orchestrates end-to-end project delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects including product development, marketing campaigns, equipment acquisition, and strategic initiatives. In product development, the PM II manages across the product lifecycle, from insights through market launch, by leading integrated planning and execution in partnership with functional owners. This role coordinates cross‑functional teams across Product, Operations, and Commercial functions and drives accountability for delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

Essential Functions

Establish project scope and criteria, schedules and milestones, budgets, dependencies, and responsibilities of the participating parties.

Manage projects to ensure completion in accordance with project objectives for performance, schedule, and cost.

Manage diverse project types including NPD, GTM launches, marketing campaigns, equipment acquisition, and operational improvement initiatives.

Coordinate cross‑functional teams, aligning functional owners to commitments without direct authority.

Lead proactive risk and issue management, identifying potential problems early, developing mitigation strategies, escalating when necessary, and facilitating decision‑making when trade‑offs are required.

Drive communication and visibility through regular status updates, stakeholder reviews, and executive reporting to ensure alignment.

Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches) based on project characteristics and organizational needs.

Maintain Asana as the single source of truth for project work, managing tasks, timelines, dependencies, workloads, and dashboards.

Lead project‑level governance execution in alignment with PMO standards, including intake, chartering, stage‑gate reviews, decision/risk tracking, status reporting, and communications.

Manage external resources including contractors, vendors, and agencies, ensuring deliverables integrate seamlessly with internal project plans.

Ensure completion and integrity of project documentation, close‑out reports, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

Identify and pilot automation/AI‑assisted workflows (status reporting, meeting notes/action capture, dependency tracking, intake triage) to reduce administrative load.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives, challenging assumptions and driving toward nimble, efficient workflows.

Develop and maintain templates, tools, and standardized processes that support consistent project delivery across the PMO.

Coach and mentor team members on project management best practices and Asana utilization.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related discipline preferred.

4-6 years of experience in project management, including complex, cross‑functional initiatives.

PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification preferred.
