Lead Interior Designer Fort Worth, TX | Hybrid Working Style

We’re searching for a bold, imaginative Lead Interior Designer who can dream big and dive into the details. You’ll collaborate closely with clients and our team to create vibrant, eye‑catching retail and commercial spaces—inside and out—that tell a brand’s story and elevate the customer experience. From first sketches and mood boards to finish selections and fixture details, you’ll be hands‑on every step of the way—translating client goals into inspired concepts and guiding them through design decisions with confidence and creativity. This role is ideal for someone who loves balancing vision with practicality, thrives on collaboration, and enjoys turning a blank space into something unforgettable. If you’re excited by the challenge of designing spaces that make a statement and love partnering with clients to bring their ideas to life, we’d love to meet you.

Duties/Responsibilities

Develop innovative retail and commercial concepts—interior and exterior—that align with client goals and brand identity.

Work directly with clients to gather input, present concepts, and guide design decisions.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with technical, branding, and construction teams to ensure cohesive brand storytelling.

Source and select materials that align with both aesthetic goals and budget realities.

Review architectural plans and design concepts for feasibility, functionality, and flair.

Stay ahead of trends in retail, design, and pop culture to keep our spaces fresh, fun, and forward‑thinking.

Manage timelines and approvals to keep multiple projects on track without losing the creative spark.

Mentor junior designers and foster a collaborative, experimental studio culture.

Required Skills/Abilities

Strong design skills in both interior and exterior retail and commercial environments—fluent in space planning, finishes, lighting, and curb appeal.

Proficiency in design tools: SketchUp, Enscape, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry‑standard software. Knowledge of Smartsheet preferred but not required.

A keen eye for detail and a sharp sense of style—you know what works and what wows.

Excellent communication skills, both visual and verbal—you can pitch a concept, sell a vision, and give killer feedback.

Strong project management and multitasking abilities—you can juggle timelines and creative direction without dropping the ball.

Collaborative mindset—you play well with others and love cross‑functional teamwork.

A mix of strategic thinking and artistic flair—you can zoom out and see the whole brand picture while sweating the fun little details.

Fluency in design documentation and detailing—you can translate creative vision into precise design drawings, specs, and schedules.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from a FIDER/CIDA‑accredited school.

5+ years of professional design experience, with a strong portfolio of retail and commercial projects (interior and exterior).

Proven experience in both conceptual design and technical execution, including construction documentation and detailing.
