The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
Execute precision mechanical design for custom industrial systems using 3D and 2D CAD
Develop detailed 3D models and mechanical designs using SolidWorks and create install drawings using AutoCAD (2D)
Utilize Navisworks to perform interference checks and ensure designs fit seamlessly within the factory and installation environment
Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawing packages, and assemblies in collaboration with engineers and project teams
Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA) and company guidelines, supporting projects from conception through final system startup
The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered:
Associate of Science (A.S.) Degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is a hard requirement
Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling) and AutoCAD (2D drafting) is mandatory
1–2 years of experience in sheet metal design/fabrication and industrial drawing is preferred (open to motivated new graduates with strong internship experience)
Experience or background in industrial air pollution control systems or HVAC design is relevant and preferred
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and excellent problem‑solving skills
Being a US citizen or green card holder
Having a residence within a 45‑minute drive
