You will be able to access and complete the application through “My Draft Applications” located on your Candidate Home page.**## Job Posting Title:Postdoctoral Researcher - Brain Glycemia & Metabolic Control## Position Type:Other Academic## Department:LSUPBRC Basic - Brain Glycemic and Metabolism Control (Yanlin He (00060478))## Work Location:LSU - Pennington Biomedical## Pay Grade:Other Academic## Job Description:, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in .The postdoctoral researcher will have responsibilities that contribute to advancing knowledge in neuroendocrinology, glucose metabolism, and brain function.***Major Responsibilities**** Designing and conducting experimental studies to investigate the relationship between brain function, glucose regulation, and metabolic processes.* Developing and applying advanced methodologies (Microscopy Immunohistochemistry, DNA/RNA isolation quantitative PCR Immunoblots) to study neural circuits involved in glycemic control.* Analyzing the effects of glucose metabolism on brain activity and systemic metabolic homeostasis.* Collecting, processing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data using statistical software and bioinformatics tools.* Preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.* Presenting findings at scientific conferences, seminars, and institutional meetings.***Required Qualifications**** Ph.D. in a relevant field such as: Neuroscience, Physiology, Endocrinology or Metabolism, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences.* Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Neurobiology of metabolic control and glucose sensing, Brain-metabolism interactions (e.g., hypothalamic regulation of glucose homeostasis), Metabolic physiology, including glucose metabolism, insulin signaling, and energy balance, and/or Neuroimaging or in vivo techniques to study neural circuits.* Experience designing and executing hypothesis-driven research with a strong publication record.* Proficiency in laboratory techniques, such as molecular and cellular biology (e.g., qPCR, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry), animal models, in vivo and ex vivo electrophysiology, optogenetics, or chemogenetics, metabolic assays, and/or imaging methods.For more information, please contact Dr. Yanlin He, yanlin.he@pbrc.edu.
