Job Description Located in one of the most beautiful regions in the United States, St. Helena Hospital was founded in 1878 and has a rich history of innovative medical care. We are comprised of a 151-bed hospital, emergency department and medical offices with centers of excellence in specialty care, including Adventist Heart and Vascular Institute, Coon Joint Replacement Institute, Martin-O´Neil Cancer Center, and Behavioral Health units. Job Summary Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the facilities’ water treatment system in reliable operation and in good repair. Performs a variety of routine and preventive general maintenance duties. Performs building repairs and general construction duties. Maintains required records. Assists in the training of team members.
Job Requirements
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Relevant industrial/commercial maintenance experience: Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
State-certified licensure as relevant to trade: Required
Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required
Essential Functions
Maintains water treatment plant testing equipment and ensures accurate calibration. Regularly inspects aerators, pumps, chlorination and chemical treatment systems according to code requirements and good industry practices.
Performs daily, weekly and monthly water testing as required by external agencies. Delivers test results to independent clinical laboratories for further testing and analyses as required. Logs observation and corrects problems.
Ensures that state and federal water quality standards are met at all times.
Maintains tools and supplies necessary to perform duties.
Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
