Position Summary We are seeking a
Commercial Operations Manager
who is responsible for driving operational excellence across the commercial organization by leading the Customer Service and Inside Sales teams while serving as the company’s internal Salesforce expert and master user. This role ensures seamless execution from lead to order, enables sales productivity through data, systems, and process optimization, and delivers exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytically strong, and equally comfortable leading people and optimizing systems. This role acts as a critical bridge between Sales, Operations, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the Customer Service and Inside Sales teams to ensure high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
Establish clear KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics aligned with commercial and customer objectives
Standardize and continuously improve commercial processes including lead management, quoting, order entry, pricing execution, and customer communication
Drive consistency, accuracy, and speed across the order-to-cash lifecycle
Salesforce Ownership & Enablement
Serve as the internal Salesforce subject matter expert and master user
Own Salesforce configuration, data integrity, reporting, dashboards, and user adoption
Partner with Sales leadership to optimize pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and opportunity hygiene
Lead Salesforce training for new hires and ongoing user enablement
Identify and implement enhancements, automation, and integrations to improve efficiency and visibility
Sales Enablement & Analytics
Support Sales and Business Development with insights, reporting, and analysis to drive informed decision-making
Maintain accurate pipeline analytics, and performance reporting
Collaborate on pricing tools, quoting workflows, and commercial policy execution
Ensure CRM data supports strategic planning, growth initiatives, and customer segmentation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a key liaison between Sales, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and executionli>
Support contract review, customer onboarding, and change management processes
Partner with Finance on pricing governance, margin analysis, and revenue accuracy
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
10+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, customer service leadership, or inside sales
Proven experience leading customer-facing teams in a B2B or manufacturing environment
CRM experience (administration, reporting, dashboards, workflows)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Demonstrated ability to build scalable processes and drive change in a growing organization
