Contracts Analyst
Our client in Northwest Houston is looking for a contracts analyst with a legal background. Fully in office 3-month contract with a bonus for project completion. Pay $30-$40/hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities Contract Review & Analysis
Conduct detailed review of existing contracts to identify key terms, metadata, obligations, and categorization.
Ensure contracts are complete, accurate, and appropriately classified before migration.
Identify missing or unclear information and coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
Maintain consistency and compliance with internal naming conventions, documentation standards, and legal guidelines.
Data Migration & System Integration
Locate, audit, and prepare contracts currently stored in SharePoint for migration to Ironclad.
Upload and map contracts, associated metadata, and contract attributes into Ironclad with a high degree of accuracy.
Validate migrated records to ensure data integrity within the new system.
Collaborate with Legal Operations, IT, and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot migration issues and ensure smooth system adoption.
Process Improvement & Documentation
Assist in developing procedures, checklists, and guidelines to standardize contract review and migration workflows.
Provide feedback on system configuration, contract templates, and tagging structures to enhance the functionality of Ironclad.
Support ongoing contract repository maintenance, including updates and continuous quality checks.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Business Management, IT Systems Management; or combination of the three
Minimum of 5 years reviewing and analyzing legal contracts
Minimum of 3 years working with contract management software, Microsoft SharePoint, Outlook, TEAMS, Excel
Proven experience with large volume data migration projects (will need references for each completed project)
Must be able to identify key items in complex legal contracts
Strong understanding of contract structure, common legal terms, and key metadata elements.
Experience working with document management platforms (e.g., SharePoint) and/or contract lifecycle management tools.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
