About the Role

The Legal & Contracts Specialist owns and administers the organization's contract lifecycle management (CLM) process and partners closely with internal stakeholders and legal counsel to support contract drafting, negotiation, workflows, execution, and ongoing contract administration. In addition to CLM ownership, the position provides paralegal support to the legal team, assisting with contract review, compliance, and legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

Ironclad Contract Lifecycle Management (Primary Focus)

* Serve as the primary administrator and subject-matter expert for Ironclad CLM

* Configure and maintain workflows, templates, clause libraries, approval rules, and user permissions

* Manage contract intake, negotiation, execution, storage, renewals, and reporting

* Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness within Ironclad

* Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with Ironclad support

* Train and support internal users on Ironclad usage and best practices

* Continuously optimize contract workflows to improve efficiency and reduce risk

Contract Drafting & Administration

* Draft, review, and revise standard commercial contracts, NDAs, amendments, and statements of work

* Maintain and update contract templates and standard terms in partnership with legal counsel

* Track contract obligations, deadlines, renewals, and terminations

* Coordinate internal approvals and signature processes

Legal Operations & Cross-Functional Support

* Act as a primary point of contact for contract-related operational questions

* Partner with sales, finance, procurement, HR, and operations teams on contract processes

* Support audits, due diligence requests, and internal reporting related to contracts

* Assist with improving legal and contract operations processes and documentation

What You'll Bring

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

* 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ironclad CLM or similar CLM software

* Experience in contract management, legal operations, or commercial operations

* Strong understanding of contract structures, commercial terms, and risk concepts

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Points

* Experience in an in-house legal or legal operations environment

* Familiarity with CLM integrations (e.g., Zip, Adobe Sign)

* Experience scaling contract processes in a growing organization
