Job Details: Under the general direction of the Manager of RO Dedicated Inventory, responsible for the planning and execution of dedicated inventory for Cencora distribution centers. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. The ideal candidate will possess understanding of inventory management, supply chain processes, and program innovation, as well as a proven ability to drive cross‑functional collaboration and optimize supply chain processes in service of a superior customer experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and execute dedicated inventory purchasing
Troubleshoot any internal receiving problems and perform inventory adjustments as required
Track key performance metrics, provide reporting to commercial stakeholders
Identify opportunities for improvement in program design and execution, with a focus on enhancing customer experience
Collaborate with procurement, sales and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of products and resolve any inventory‑related gaps
Monitor inventory levels, analyze stock movements and adjust inventory strategies as necessary to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock
Participates in events and meetings with supply chain stakeholders and solicits feedback to drive innovation
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Degree in Supply Management or Supply Chain Logistics. 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
Skills and Knowledge Familiarity with procurement concepts, practices, and processes. Experience with inventory management, including advanced inventory concepts such as dedicated virtual inventory and committed inventory models. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution ecosystem, including procurement, logistics, and supply chain risks. Proficiency in supply chain technologies such as SAP, DFIO, or equivalent ERP tools. Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams. Ability to resolve and anticipate issues independently with a proactive problem‑solving approach. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong negotiating, mathematical, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of company policies, programs, services, and products (preferred). Ability to implement processes that meet satisfactory audit practices. Minimal travel may be required.
