Work Schedule

Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Must be available to work outside of normal hours.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.

Must be willing to work most of summer during university orientation programs.

Job Summary Galen Health Fellows Living and Learning Community Program Lead

Build bridges between academic departments and student life. Create meaningful connections among students from diverse backgrounds. Juggle programming, budgeting, and student support with enthusiasm. Lead initiatives that make health professional learning personal and powerful.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

In cooperation with the Faculty Director, develop a programming calendar that supports LLC goals and complies with programming expectations.

Attend programs, track attendance, and assess overall effectiveness.

Manage administrative operations: reservable spaces, facility maintenance requests, and budget monitoring.

Serve as the primary department individual in charge of data collection, cleaning, analysis and visualization for Galen Health.

Co‑instruct University 290 each spring semester.

Assist the Faculty Director in reviewing applications for the Galen mini‑Magellan research grant.

Contribute to strategic planning and implementation aligned with LLC goals and Galen Pillars.

Identify and contact local clinicians, advocates, or professionals for Galen’s “Supper Speaker” series.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 or more years of job‑related experience, or an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree and 2 years of experience working with college students in and outside the classroom.

Experience with leadership initiatives and event management and programming for students and community members.

Experience with the Healthcare system.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong organizational and management skills.

Effective communication and ability to work independently.

Ability to work with students in formal and informal capacities.

Multitasking in a busy student community.

Maintain productive relationships with faculty and staff across departments.

Working knowledge of MS Office and Google products.

Expertise in preparing, reporting, and interpreting reports.

Marketing and social media skills.

Flexible availability for activities outside normal working times, including nights and weekends.
