Job Summary The Financial Aid Coordinator – Loans serves as a member of the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (OSFAS) Student Loan Unit. This position works with a team to administer Federal Direct Subsidized, Unsubsidized, Parent PLUS and Graduate PLUS Loans, along with Private Educational Loans. Responsibilities include general loan administration, reviewing COD reports, disbursement reports, and one-term loan processing. The coordinator assists in general student advisement during peak times, and reviews and processes federal financial aid applications, applying professional judgment and eligibility review.
Qualifications Experience in financial aid program administration along with analytical and complex processing capabilities, and accounting experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities The ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of records, plan, organize, prioritize work, communicate thoroughly and accurately with a diverse population, colleagues, and outside agencies. Ability to make independent but accurate judgments. The candidate must learn and maintain a working knowledge of the DL programs, COD system requirements and responsibilities, and the associated University financial aid policies and procedures. Should be able to work independently but within a highly integrated team that has service and responsible administration as its highest priorities.
