Job Description Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds Architectural and Engineering Technology program at Reynolds Community College is seeking a teaching faculty adjunct instructor to teach our Principles of Residential Building Construction Inspections. This course is part of our Building Construction Management AAS degree. It is a 2021 USBC code focused course introducing students to the criteria and procedures of residential building inspections.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree or higher in a related field, plus 4 years work experience in plans review and inspections for a local jurisdiction.

ICC certification as a Residential Building Inspector is required and a Master Code Professional (MCP) certification is preferred.

Additional Considerations

Master Code Professional (MCP) certification is preferred.

Occupational experience in the field.

Experience with Learning Management System or other online course management tools is a plus. Training will be provided.

College level teaching experience.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.

The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
