Description The School of Nursing at Clemson University invites applicants for a full‑time Lecturer position with experience in women's health, maternal/child health nursing. The position is a full‑time 9‑month appointment and is located primarily at the main campus in Edwards Hall in Clemson, SC. Responsibilities include work in the accelerated summer semester located at the Clemson University Nursing building in Greenville, SC. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience in women's health, maternal/child health nursing. Teaching experience at the university level enhances students' critical thinking and clinical decision‑making abilities is preferred. The candidate will have comfort with the supervision of student groups and commitment to collaborative communication with healthcare professionals in various clinical settings. Prior engagement with curricular revision and incorporation of multiple classroom instructional technology methods would be preferred. The applicant must have a minimum of a master's degree in nursing.
Responsibilities
Teaching: Teach in the classroom, clinical sites, and simulated clinical learning activities in the simulation laboratory for the undergraduate and graduate courses as needed/appropriate.
Research and Scholarship: Assure that classroom course material is evidence informed.
Service: Serve on School, College, and University committees as elected or appointed.
Collegial Engagement: Participate in School‑wide planning initiatives and activities to support SON Mission, vision, and goals.
Qualifications
Minimum of a master's degree in nursing
Eligible for South Carolina RN License
Experience in collaborative relationships between practice and academic organizations
Experience teaching in higher education and working with diverse student populations
Teaching experience in nursing (preferred)
Proficiency with emerging healthcare technologies and information systems (preferred)
Experience in simulation laboratory instruction (preferred)
