Position Summary The VP, Strategy and Integration is responsible for the organization’s overall strategic planning, cross‑functional integration, portfolio management, program and project management, and change management strategy and approach.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and overseeing the organization’s strategic planning process, balancing priorities and resources, collaborating toward aligned goals, building transformational objectives and success metrics, and ensuring adherence to substantive outcomes
Creating and overseeing a portfolio management structure and processes to ensure resources are aligned with our Board‑approved strategy and that key programs and projects are monitored, measured, and executed with excellence
Leading efforts to develop and refine the menu of CSO services and expectations including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
Spearheading work to plan for, create alignment, and implement new processes and structures for new Managed Service Organization (MSO)
Leading integrations (both internal and external) related to physician clinics, ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), ancillary clinics such as physical therapy, and the broader MSO
Creating and leading a program and project management structure and approach to ensure excellence and consistency in execution
Leading key strategic initiatives that are central to our Board‑approved strategy
Reporting The role would report to the Chief People Officer for Proliance Surgeons.
Key Duties and Responsibilities The key duties and responsibilities of the VP, Strategy and Integration include, but are not limited to:
Create the organization’s overall strategic planning, cross‑functional integration, portfolio management, program and project management, and change management strategy and approach.
Lead and oversee the organization’s strategic planning process, balancing priorities and resources, collaborating toward aligned goals, building transformational objectives and success metrics, and ensuring adherence to substantive outcomes
Create and oversee a portfolio management structure and processes to manage, monitor, and evaluate key programs and projects related to the Proliance strategy. Lead ongoing executive team review, approvals, and oversight
Lead efforts to develop and refine the menu of CSO services and expectations including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and service level agreements (SLAs). Measure and take action on results to ensure excellent service
Spearhead work to plan for, create alignment, and implement new processes and structures for new Managed Service Organization (MSO). Ensure accountability to the rhythm of the business, SOPs and SLAs. Oversee ongoing continuous improvement to ensure we exceed client expectations
Lead key strategic initiatives that are central to our Board‑approved strategy. Ensure that strategic projects and programs are designed for success, performance is measured effectively, and operations deliver intended outcomes
Establish accountability across teams by ensuring appropriate guidelines, milestones, reports and measurements are built into program and project structure.
Oversee cross‑functional and operational teams
Drive resource capacity analysis and ongoing management
Identify, plan for and obtain essential resources
Identify organizational barriers and risks associated with operational program success within constraints of scope, time, budget and quality
Oversee the enterprise business development committee to integrate the onboarding, off‑boarding, and/or relocation of additional practices at Proliance to ensure seamless and successful transitions
Lead internal re‑organizations and integrations to optimize resources and talent
Drive continuous improvement and integrate industry best practices into overall integration work of people, processes and technology.
Serve as trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to Chief People Officer with dotted‑line reporting to the CEO
Serve on the executive team as strategy leader and liaison to other leadership and cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with strategic planning, portfolio management, and integration processes
Attend operational meetings to provide status on initiatives and to ensure that overall delivery is aligned with SLAs and exceeds client expectations
Other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Education / Experience
15+ years of professional experience across healthcare or operational leadership roles.
10+ years of management consulting or internal consulting experience.
Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
Demonstrated leadership experience performing described job functions, including strategic planning and development, business development, healthcare operations, management, and consulting.
Experience influencing senior leaders and health care professionals.
