Seattle Orthopedic Surgery Center, a division of Proliance Surgeons, is seeking a part-time or per diem Surgical Technologist for our busy 9-surgeon outpatient surgery center with 3 operating rooms. We prioritize teamwork and providing exceptional patient care. Position Summary The Surgical Technologist provides hands-on support to surgeons and the OR team by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment before, during, and after surgery. Key Duties and Responsibilities Assist the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient care throughout the surgical process. Maintain a friendly, positive, and caring attitude with patients, physicians, and staff. Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon based on requests and patterns. Monitor the sterile field continuously. Ensure availability and proper functioning of supplies and equipment. Assist with inventory control and proper documentation of supplies used. Participate in continuing education to meet state requirements and stay current with healthcare changes. Represent the center professionally in the community and on committees. Identify and mitigate risks to patients and staff to ensure safety. Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program. Certified Surgical Technologist preferred. Current state licensure and CPR certification. Two years of direct experience preferred. Skills and Abilities Computer skills. Knowledge of relevant specialties. Objectivity and professionalism. Cooperation, flexibility, and assistance with patients, physicians, and staff. Multitasking ability. Accurate reporting and organization skills. Respect for confidentiality and HIPAA regulations. Composure under stress. Effective communication skills. Punctuality and reliable attendance. Work Environment and Physical Demands Work conditions are typical of a surgical center.
