Two (2) Positions available: 1 - Upper Elementary and 1 - Lower Elementary
Miami Union Adventist Academy (MUAA) is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and faith-centered Elementary School Teacher to join our growing academic community. This role is more than a teaching position—it is a calling to build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, character, and faith during a child’s most formative years, within a Christ-centered learning environment.
The ideal candidate will provide instruction in core elementary subjects, serve as a homeroom teacher, support students academically and socially, and actively participate in school life. Faculty at MUAA are fully engaged in the school's mission—participating in staff worship, collaborative planning, professional learning opportunities, and community-building activities.
Beyond the classroom, this role includes supervision duties, parent communication, and participation in student recruitment and school events. MUAA is supported by a committed school board, surrounding constituent churches, and a forward-thinking conference office dedicated to strengthening Adventist education in the Miami area.

Active Seventh-day Adventist teaching certification (or currently in the certification process)
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
A student- and family-centered approach to education (“customer service mindset”)
Knowledge of and commitment to best instructional practices
Comfort with and adaptability to educational technology and digital learning tools
Willingness to support after-school programs and extracurricular activities
Clear, engaging, and confident teaching style
A collaborative, “all-in” team-player attitude
Commitment to Adventist Christian education and student spiritual development

Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Elementary Education or a related field is required
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Teaching certification required or in progress
Practicing Seventh‑day Adventist in good standing
Demonstrated commitment to the holistic development of children—academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally
