Position: Veterinary Assistant
Location: All Pets Animal Hospital - Encinitas, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview The Veterinary Assistant will support doctors and technicians in daily clinical operations, helping ensure smooth workflow, patient comfort, and excellent service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Assist doctors and RVTs with patient care, exams, treatments, and procedures
Safely restrain patients and support handling based on patient alerts and notes
Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spaces
Support anesthesia and surgery prep (experience preferred)
Perform basic lab tasks, sample handling, and diagnostics as trained
Maintain hospital cleanliness and organization throughout the day
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients
Educate clients on routine care, medications, post-visit instructions and preventive care under the doctor's guidance.
Proactively assist where needed without waiting to be asked
Qualifications
Prior veterinary assistant experience required
(general practice preferred)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Comfortable taking initiative and supporting the team
Exotic experience a plus, but not required
