JR268Thank you for considering a career with the Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY).The team at RFCUNY is made up of dedicated, talented professionals committed to providing the services that allow CUNY researchers, faculty, and staff to focus on their intellectual curiosity and scientific discoveries.We are pleased that you are interested in exploring opportunities to join RFCUNY.Primary Location:BROOKLYN COLLEGEBargaining Unit:No**Position Summary**: Working closely with the Program Director, the Instructor/Teaching Artist creates and facilitates structured, project-based activities with participants that promote academic achievements, social emotional growth, college readiness, community engagements, and career goals.**Primary responsibilities:*** Create and facilitate challenging, age-appropriate lesson plans centered on academic advancement, arts and social justice* Engage youth in their schoolwork and actively support their academic development in concrete, effective methods* Work with program participants to develop and present works for annual showcase at Brooklyn College and youth conferences* Participate in professional development and show dedication to youth development for under-resourced communities* Plan and lead participants on cultural and educational field trips to explore their interests* Work with program staff to ensure a safe environment for all students* Establish rapport with youth and provide mentoring and guidance* Other duties as assigned**Qualifications*** Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching youth in a NYC DOE after-school setting or similar environment* Bachelor’s degree**Hourly rate**:* $23-30* 17.5 hours per week**Employment period: Program School year****About BCCP:**The Brooklyn College Community Partnership (BCCP) is a youth development program bridging Brooklyn College to the broader Brooklyn community through initiatives in public middle and high schools and at our Brooklyn College Arts Lab (BCAL). As a youth-centered organization with a long history of community engagement and empowerment, we invite our students to bring their histories, knowledge, and expertise to the learning process.Since 1992, BCCP has provided interdisciplinary afterschool and outside of classroom programming to serve the holistic needs of students from under-resourced schools and communities across Brooklyn. Our participants, 11-19 years of age, are Black, Latinx, Asian, and/or new immigrants, who attend public schools in Bensonhurst, Crown Heights, East Flatbush, Brownsville, East New York, Flatbush, Fort Greene, and Midwood.Pay Range:$23.00-$30.00/hour**RFCUNY Benefits****Equal Employment Opportunity Statement**

RFCUNY serves as a fiscal agent and works closely with all the CUNY campus Grants Offices to perform the core functions of post-award financial management for CUNY research projects and sponsored programs. These functions include legal assessment and signing of agreements where RFCUNY is named as a fiscal agent; setting up award accounts; preparing sub-awards and assisting PIs in monitoring the work of the recipients of sub-awards; supporting project directors with hiring and managing research project and sponsored program staff; supporting the purchasing and paying for goods and services with grant and program funds; managing financial aspects of projects including accounts receivable, financial reporting, invoicing, budget monitoring, and cost compliance with uniform guidance; ensuring that sponsor financial requirements are met; monitoring compliance with applicable project and financial management rules and laws; supporting the management of independent and external audits and financial reviews; and providing data, information, management expertise, and other supports to CUNY’s research and sponsored programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
