Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is seeking a motivated individual to serve as a Financial Investigator, working closely with Assistant Attorneys General, State Police detectives, and other investigators. The investigator will contribute to the investigation and prosecution of Criminal Bureau cases involving financial fraud, public corruption, and human trafficking by gathering documents, conducting financial analyses, and participating in victim and witness interviews.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Investigate allegations of criminal conduct and assist in the prosecution of criminal cases.

Develop investigative plans and locate, interview, and obtain evidence from victims, witnesses and targets.

Analyze voluminous financial records to trace the source of financial assets and expenditures.

Conduct background checks and search open‑source databases.

Prepare detailed investigative reports and serve as a summary witness in grand jury and court proceedings.

POSITION TYPE Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt.

WORK MODEL Hybrid model with some remote workdays; in‑office days require presence at Boston or a regional office.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or accounting, preferred.

3-5 years of investigative experience, preferred.

Prior experience testifying in court proceedings and serving subpoenas, highly desired.

Working knowledge of the criminal justice system.

Demonstrated ability to investigate allegations of criminal conduct and conduct interviews.

Effective report writing and verbal communication skills.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills; ability to multitask.

Experience with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.

Ability to work independently and as a team member; sound judgment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality on all matters handled in the Criminal Bureau.

Valid driver’s license in good standing; statewide travel required.

Ability to demonstrate connection to the communities served and support a respectful, inclusive work environment.
