At RLWS, our welders manufacture the toughest scales in the industry. The Welder
will perform welding to satisfactory product standards and specifications, and ensured all items meet RLWS quality standards. This candidate will operate carbon air-arc, pencil grinders, disk grinders, cutoff wheels, and other hand tools as needed. This candidate will layout and fit various parts and assemblies while using various types of welding equipment set up in a variety of positions, such as flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead. The Welder will ensure high quality work and safe practices are followed. Other functions as assigned. This position will work at our Jasper, AL location.
Sunday - Thursday night-time hours, 40 hours are guaranteed, with overtime as needed. Essential Job Functions
Operate the overhead crane and forklift to move material Perform MIG welding operations to RLWS quality standards and expectations Read blueprints to perform proper welds Grind parts and occasionally blast parts before or after welding operations Work in a small group setting and independently to complete required workload Operate power tools and basic hand tools Frequent lifting
Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50lb Must have ability to read and speak English Other duties as assigned Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Welding degree or 2 (two) or more years of manufacturing welding experience Skills
