DCS Program Coordinator

Location Davis County, Department of Children’s Services, Juvenile Justice Policy and Programs, Central Office Juvenile Justice Team.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Equivalent to four years of professional work in counseling, case management services, or program evaluations, with at least three years providing services to children and/or juveniles.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Up to one year of graduate coursework in specified fields may substitute for one year of experience (maximum one year).
Substitution of Experience for Education: Equivalent to one year as a DCS Program Specialist or a DCS Case Manager III with the State of Tennessee.
Age: At least 21 years old.
Citizenship: U.S. citizen.
Driver’s license: Valid before and during employment.
Good moral character.
Complete criminal history disclosure as required.
No felony convictions.
Agree to release all criminal history records to the appointment authority.
Supply fingerprint sample as prescribed.
Pass pre‑employment drug screening.
Responsibilities
Statewide implementation of quality improvement initiatives and manage relationships with external stakeholders.
Maintain monthly reports on program placements, exception request approvals, and other pertinent data.
Coordinate effective communication with regions and divisions to deliver accurate information for investigative tasks.
Strengthen partnerships with community agencies and stakeholders through presentations, engagement, and collaboration.
Approve necessary services for children entering custody and other needs in the assigned program area.
Use review tools to assess practice and skill set of field staff; monitor service provision for children and families.
Monitor network adequacy, identify service gaps, assess outcomes, and promote program improvement.

Valid driver's license.

A candidate may be allowed an exception based on other factors.
