Why this role stands out:
Serious litigation, no ivory tower
– Complex business, construction and real estate disputes for blue‑chip and middle‑market clients.
Close partner mentorship
– Work directly with high‑profile rainmakers who actually bring you into strategy and client conversations.
Growth mindset
– Genuine path to partnership with a clear, performance‑driven roadmap.
Entrepreneurial culture
– Associates are encouraged (and supported) to build a book of business over time.
Respected Texas platform
– Well‑established, full‑service firm with deep roots in the state and a strong disputes bench.
The Opportunity – Commercial Litigation Associate (Houston) You’ll be part of a lean, high‑performing team handling a wide range of commercial cases—many tied to construction and real estate projects—with exposure to other complex business disputes and occasional executive‑level defence work.
You will:
Take ownership of general commercial litigation matters with support from senior trial lawyers
Draft pleadings, motions and discovery; handle hearings as you grow
Work on case strategy from day one, not just back‑room research
Interact directly with sophisticated clients and opposing counsel
Location: Houston (Galleria area) – hybrid work arrangement
Compensation: Up to $200k base (DOE) + bonus + full benefits
Environment: High‑energy, collaborative, “adult” culture where you’re trusted to do your job
What They’re Looking For:
4–5 years of solid commercial litigation experience
Strong writing, motion practice and case‑management skills
Confidence working with a good degree of autonomy
Interest in developing business over time (they’ll coach and support you)
Texas bar admission
