What You Will Do If you are interested in joining a growing company with popular retail brands such as Red Baron®, Tony's®, Freschetta® pizza; Mrs. Smith's® and Edwards® desserts; bibigo® and Pagoda® Asian-style snacks, this role is for you. This is a full-time position in a food manufacturing environment with opportunities for advancement!

Lead EHS contact for on-site contractor management.

Lead Fire System inspections.

Inspect processes and procedures that regards machinery and ensure good health and safety practice.

Patrol the production line and check if workers follow safety rules.

Conduct daily safety training for new and current employees.

Conduct safety training on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc).

Carry out examinations of machinery, working environments and structures, taking measurements of noise, heat, and vibrations, and taking photographs and samples where necessary.

Ensure workers are provided with suitable protective equipment, such as ear protectors or appropriate types of gloves and clothing.

Investigate precautions taken to prevent industrial diseases.

Investigate procedures for working in hazardous environments or with potentially harmful substances.

Investigate accidents and complaints and determining if there has been a breach of health and safety law.

Report on results of inspections and investigations.

Providing safety support to plant employees.

Other assignments as required.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma (required).

Production experience preferred.

Bilingual: English/Spanish (spoken and written).

Intermediate personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Strong communication and reasoning skills.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
