Position Summary We are seeking qualified Supervisors to support operations at the Kentucky Derby from April 25 through May 2.

Responsibilities The Security Supervisor supervises security officers and other company personnel as required and may also perform the duties of a security officer as necessary.

Functions as a supervisor of security officers and other company personnel assigned to one or more client locations. Planning assigning and directing their work.

Acts to ensure that all post orders are followed that established patrol rounds are completed that necessary reports are properly filed and makes the necessary notifications in the event of an emergency. Interviews candidates for employment as required.

Orients and trains security officers and other company personnel.

Reviews post orders and other details of assignments with personnel.

Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate seeks advice from company management as appropriate meets personally with employees and properly documents coaching and disciplinary actions.

Working with company management appraises performance of personnel; rewarding and disciplining personnel as appropriate.

Prepares and submits schedules payroll and personnel information as required.

Working with company management ensures adequate coverage of all posts.

Prepares files and submits reports as required. Inspects posts and personnel as required.

Provides stellar customer service to client representatives and customers of the client.

Meets with client representatives as scheduled or needed. Addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Performs the duties of a security officer as required.

Completes other similar tasks as required.

Ability to adapt to change in procedures locations and the organization.

Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Must possess basic computer skills.

Must be able to write routine correspondence including emails logs and reports.

Physical Requirements

Ability to see hear speak and write clearly.

Ability to sit stand or walk for long periods of time.

Ability to climb stairs walk up inclines or walk on uneven terrain.

Ability to reach with hands or arms twist turn bend stoop kneel crouch or crawl.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Possess close vision distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

Exposure to stressful difficult or hostile situations.

Requirement to work overtime without advanced notice.

Exposure to inclement weather.

Requirement to wear or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Exposure to or responsibility for confidential information.

Requirement to drive a vehicle.

Requirement to handle multiple tasks at the same time.

Exposure to stressful and physical activity including frequent sitting standing and walking for long periods stooping kneeling crouching crawling climbing stairs or lifting 10 to 50 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age.

Be a citizen of the United States or lawful permanent resident.

Have a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma.

Possess a reliable means of communication (i.e. phone).

Possess a reliable means of transportation (public or private).

Pass a criminal background check in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines.

Pass a physical examination (contract specific).

Pass a preemployment drug test.

Possess a valid drivers license as required for duty.

Pass an employment and personal history check in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines.

Possess an active security license in compliance with state requirements.

Possess basic aptitudes and physical abilities including; color perception visual acuity physical coordination motor skills meeting lifting requirements.

At least one (1) year of full time law enforcement professional security or military experience.
