Department Overview Children's Hospitals and Clinics Foundation department is the fundraising arm of Children's. Gifts to the Foundation support treatment programs, provide support for patients and families, fund medical research, and raise awareness of pediatric health issues throughout the community.
Position Summary This role is an integral member of the engagement team, focusing on events and special projects at Children's Minnesota. The position includes organizing and executing impactful fundraising and cultivation events, volunteer management and supporting the work of the annual giving, donor relations and community engagement teams through special projects and initiatives.

Ability to attend in‑person events in the Twin Cities metro area and surrounding suburbs
License/Certification/Registration required? No
Education
High School diploma (or equivalent) and related experience required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in event planning, direct marketing, volunteer management, and/or project management required, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong organizational and project management skills, proactive problem solving and high attention to detail required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Strong analytical skills, with a process and performance improvement mindset.
Positive attitude, quick learner, proactive problem‑solving skills with a demonstrated ability and willingness to take on increased responsibility.
Ability to maintain confidentiality related to donor and organizational information.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
Training and experience in event or direct marketing fundraising within a nonprofit organization preferred.
Training and experience in volunteer management or customer service preferred.
Knowledge of the theory and practice of fundraising and nonprofit operations preferred.
Training in relationship management with volunteers, corporate and individual donors/sponsors preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading projects and coordinating work collaboratively with others.
Experience with CRM and/or donor database, especially Raiser's Edge, preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on‑call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
