Salary Range: $62,722.00 To $73,000.00 Annually

The Assistant Manager II at HawaiiUSA FCU plays a pivotal role in supporting branch operations to achieve and exceed member service and organizational goals. The Assistant Manager II leads and motivates their team through collaborative leadership, fostering an environment of integrity, respect, and learning. They are responsible for driving business development initiatives, managing schedules and relationships, and overseeing platform and loan underwriting processes to optimize branch performance. Ultimately, this role ensures operational excellence and member satisfaction by balancing branch planning with coaching and hands‑on management.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Demonstrated proficiency in loan underwriting and/ or depository and branch related products.

Demonstrated knowledge of credit union or banking regulations.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and service experience.

Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

5 years or more of experience in banking or financial services.

Experience in branch management, assistant management, Senior Member Relationship Consultant, or other roles operating in a leadership capacity within the retail credit union or banking industry.

Demonstrated knowledge of operational audit procedures.

Proven track record of leading change and innovation in a financial services environment.

Familiarity with business development strategies specific to banking and financial products.

Cross‑training experience and expertise in scheduling/ planning to optimize team performance.

Responsibilities:

Support the Branch Manager in daily operations, including scheduling, planning, and cross‑training staff to maximize efficiency and service quality.

Lead sales training conversations with staff and members to meet or exceed branch sales goals.

Attend community events to promote HawaiiUSA products/services to grow membership, loans, & deposits.

Conduct operational audits and ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret complex documents and present persuasive sales presentations.

Manage consumer loan underwriting processes and provide financial consulting to members to meet their needs effectively and foster strong banking relationships.

Collaborate with internal teams to drive branch sales and business development initiatives.

This position involves interpreting complex financial documents, regulatory requirements, and credit union policies, to ensure compliance and sound decision‑making.

Service existing members and Select Employee Groups (SEGs) within assigned market.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills: The Assistant Branch Manager II utilizes their ability to interpret complex documents and banking regulations daily to ensure compliance and informed decision making. Sales training and Salesforce CRM skills are applied to monitor and enhance team performance, driving the achievement of sales targets. Persuasive presentation and communication skills enable the Assistant Manager II to effectively convey complex ideas to both customers and team members, fostering trust and engagement. Leadership skills, including collaborative leadership and leading with integrity and respect, are essential for motivating staff and managing change within the branch. Additionally, expertise in loan underwriting, business development, and operational audits support the branch’s financial health and customer satisfaction.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for prolonged periods at a desk working on a computer.

Standing for prolonged periods of time in a stationary position on occasion.

Reaching, bending, twisting, turning on a regular basis.

Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 30 pounds on occasion.

BENEFITS AND PAY The expected pay range for this Assistant Branch Manager II is $62,722 - $73,000 per year.

This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role based on typical qualifications and market data. Offered pay may vary depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
