Position Summary The Branch Manager is responsible for oversight of all aspects of customer service for both inside, outside and retail sales, and oversees all aspects of inventory control and warehouse operations in a friendly, fast‑paced team environment.
Primary Duties
Hire and manage, coach, mentor, train, and support all direct reports.
Coordinate sales team to collaborate with Product Managers for technical support and specialty projects where needed
Manage margins and costs to achieve net profitability goals
Develop and implement programs to meet customer requirements
Assist in managing supplier relationships
Train staff to provide customer support with technical product information.
Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
Address and resolve personnel issues
Basic Requirements
Must be over the age of 21, as driving is required with valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required
Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment.
Solid computer skills including use of MS Office. Experience with P21 a plus
Experience with industrial distribution, preferably fluid power components preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed.
Work environment may vary including: warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements.
