Price Chopper/Market 32 Meat Manager Madison Ave (Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32) Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Manages the day‑to‑day operation of the meat department inclusive of fresh meat case, deli, frozen case and custom cut department (where applicable) to achieve budgeted financial results, place orders, train staff, manage inventory and maintain corporate policies. Builds and maintains excellent customer relations internally and externally while ensuring high‑quality products are consistently available.

Pay Range $22.25-$34.55

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service.

Handle and merchandise all meat products in accordance with company policy.

Display and express a complete knowledge of all meat products to the customer.

Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.

Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation following 5S standards.

Achieve all budgeted financial figures for the Meat Department as stipulated in the store profit plan.

Manage day‑to‑day operations, including scheduling, training and other administrative duties.

Order meat products and ensure inventory control methods are in place.

Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers and grinders while maintaining corporate safety standards.

Oversee Meat Department associates and enforce company policies; train associates per corporate and state procedures.

Maintain all corporate assets within the Meat Department.

Adhere to sanitation and temperature guidelines, including corporate, state and federal inspection requirements.

Maintain grind logs and meat logs in accordance with store policy.

Support the store at the direction and discretion of the Store Manager.

Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Demonstrated ability to manage others and follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.

Education And Experience

Satisfactory performance reviews.

Strong communication skills.

Basic computer skills.

High School Degree or equivalent.

3+ years of related experience.

Physical Requirements

Exposure to Cold Environment: Constant 5-8 Hours.

Grasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity (Left/Right Hands): Constant 5-8 Hours.

Lifting: Constant 5-8 Hours up to 75lbs; Frequent 3-5 Hours up to 100lbs; Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 100lbs.

Lifting Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 10lbs and 25lbs.

Pivoting: Constant 5-8 Hours.

Pushing/Pulling: Frequent 3-5 Hours up to 75lbs; Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 2400lbs.

Squatting/Kneeling: Frequent 3-5 Hours.

Standing: Constant 5-8 Hours.

Walking: Constant 5-8 Hours.

Twisting: Constant 5-8 Hours.
