The Occupational Therapy Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, and daily operational oversight of the Occupational Therapy Department. This includes ensuring high-quality therapy services, supervising staff, coordinating patient care processes, managing departmental workflow, and upholding regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards. The Occupational Therapy Manager collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes while ensuring efficient and effective departmental performance. This position provides direction, supervision, instruction, and evaluation for professional and supportive personnel within the Occupational Therapy Department, and ensures compliance with documentation, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives. Acts as a resource, mentor, and advocate for patients, staff, and the profession.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall coordination and management of Occupational Therapy services.

Ensure appropriate interpretation and implementation of physician prescriptions and therapy plans through oversight of clinical staff.

Maintain effective public relations with patients, families, staff, and the community.

Promote cost-effective use of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies at the department level.

Ensure departmental safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications Education

Required: Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.

Preferred: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, rehabilitation leadership).

Licenses/ certifications/ registrations

Required: Must have or be eligible for State Licensure or Registration. Current certification in CPR.

Experience

Required: Have ability to provide for patient\'s rehabilitation and psychosocial well-being. Ability to meet lift in classification. Ability to communicate with others both medically and publicly. Have a nice appearance, being well-groomed and demonstrate appropriate contact. Clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist with demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Preferred: Prior supervisory or management experience in a therapy or healthcare environment.

Compensation 40 Hours USD $118,705.00/Yr. USD $184,516.00/Yr. 01-4072 Occupational Therapy Day
