Scheduling Coordinator

plays a vital role in ensuring seamless scheduling and coordination of tests and procedures. This position requires strong communication skills and attention to detail to provide exceptional service to patients, physicians, and ancillary departments. Key Responsibilities

Schedule, reschedule, and cancel single or multiple tests and procedures accurately. Provide clear and accurate information regarding department‑specific scheduling criteria, patient preparation, arrival location, and time. Demonstrate

excellent customer service

by actively listening, showing empathy, and offering alternatives when needed. Maintain professional communication and superb telephone etiquette at all times. Exhibit proficiency in registration and scheduling systems, as well as web‑based resources. Perform data entry and operate office equipment (multi‑line phone system, printers, fax machines). Review schedules daily and communicate changes promptly to appropriate staff. Maintain knowledge of ICD‑9/ICD‑10 and CPT codes as required. Identify and resolve customer service issues or elevate for follow‑up. Adhere to Orlando Health’s

Education/Training

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must complete Orlando Health medical terminology course within 90 days of hire. Experience

Minimum of

one (1) year

in retail, customer service, or healthcare. Computer experience required. Licensure/Certification

None required. Skills & Competencies

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Knowledge of scheduling systems and basic medical terminology preferred.
